Welcome to the Baylor Med-Peds Program!

The Departments of Medicine and Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine offer an integrated program of residency training in internal medicine and pediatrics. Our fully-accredited program meets all the recommendations for combined training required by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics. Completion of this program leads to eligibility to take the certifying examinations of both boards.

From the program's inception in 1980, the goal of Baylor's Combined Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Program has been the training of well-rounded physicians, who are confident and competent in the full spectrum of care of adults and children.

Transition Medicine Ambulatory Rotation

As of academic year 2007-2008, all Medicine and Med-Peds Residents have the opportunity to take a 1-month rotation in Transitional Medicine. Residents will rotate through the Baylor Transition Medicine Clinic, Texas Adult Congenital Heart Clinic, Texas Children’s Cancer Center Long Term Survivor Clinic, and the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Clinic. More information concerning this elective will be posted soon.
