David is a native of Marlin, Texas (Central Texas town near Waco-population 7,000). David graduated from Marlin High
School in 1990. After graduation he attended Texas A&M University and majored in Biology. While at Texas A&M he served on various committees and organizations such as the Texas A&M
University Student Senate-where he represented the College of Science. He is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity where he served as President
during his tenure at TAMU. He also helped organize the coat drive and scholarship fund in his hometown while at A&M. He not only balanced
academics and extracurricular activities during this time, he also worked as a Fighting' Texas Aggie Bus Driver and in various laboratories around the
university. Upon graduation from Texas A&M in December of 1994, he was accepted to the University of Texas Medical School-Houston in 1995. He was
very active in his medical school class as well, where he served four elected terms as his medical school's class president. He resides in Houston with his
wife-Kellie and 3 year old daughter-Sidney and another little boy on the way in November. (He is currently accepting applications for the name of the child). His
hobbies includes computing, chess, tennis, reading motivational books, relaxing with family, and building "bubble houses" (ask his daughter about this one).
