Pediatrics Curriculum
The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education requires the Pediatrics experience to be 24 months. Time spent on inpatient services is limited to less than 60 percent. The program is also required to have at least five months spent in a supervisory role. Overall, the ACGME mandates 19 of the 24 months. The remaining five months are used at the discretion of the residency program to fulfill the requirements and provide elective time.
