The Internal Medicine Residency Program at Baylor College of Medicine encompasses a broad spectrum of clinical training opportunities that allows physicians the freedom to choose any type of career in internal medicine upon graduation. The 30 percent of our residents who want to practice general internal medicine have their pick of career opportunities around the United States. The 70 percent who pursue subspecialty training do so either at BCM and its affiliated hospitals (one-third) or at other institutions around the country (two-thirds).
