In addition, long-term acute care, ventilator management, and pulmonary rehabilitation, experienced at Kindred Hospital-Houston and a pulmonary function lab rotation which includes asthma diagnosis and management experience are part of the fellowship training. Options for elective rotations include Pediatric Pulmonary, Neonatal ICU, Surgical Critical Care, Anesthesia, Trauma, Emergency Medicine, Non-invasive Cardiology, Radiology, Pathology, and Sleep disorders. Additional electives may be developed in cooperation with other College sections or departments and institutions such as The University of Texas-Houston, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Rice University and others.
Fellows can gain experience with subspecialty procedures in many pulmonary and critical care practice settings.
