St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital

St Luke's Episcopal Hospital is a 900-bed private hospital, renowned for its excellence in diagnosis and treatment of gastroenterological disease. The hospital is staffed by both BCM and private physicians, and serves a local, national, and international referral population.

Ben Taub General Hospital

Ben Taub General Hospital, a 600-bed county hospital is the major general medical and surgical hospital serving the disadvantaged of Houston and surrounding Harris County. The gastrointestinal clinical service provides in-patient and out-patient consultation to the entire hospital population including clinical, diagnostic and endoscopic procedures. Approximately 75 in-patient consultations are seen every month and approximately 45 out-patients are seen every week. Approximately 150 diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures are performed each month on in-patients and out-patients.

Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center

The Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center is a 1,000-bed facility with state-of-the-art equipment. The gastroenterology section offers world renowned clinical service. The consultative team, made up of students, residents, fellows and the attending gastroenterologist, act as consultants to the housestaff for a wide variety of acute and chronic liver and gastrointestinal diseases. Many clinical studies in this patient population are being actively pursued.
