Teaching Conferences
Baylor College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Physicians, residents, fellows, and community physicians need to be regularly updated on advances in internal medicine, as well as, the clinical activities in the Department of Medicine. Educational methods will include lectures and case presentations. Randomly selected participants will be asked to complete an activity evaluation.
Objectives
At the conclusion of the activities, the participants should be able to:
- Describe the results of current research with regard to the various subspecialties of internal medicine
- Evaluate evidence related to current controversies
- List pros and cons of pertinent therapeutic modalities
CME Credit
BCM designates this educational activity for a maximum of one (1) hour in category 1 credit toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the activity. Only those courses marked with an asterisk are approved for category 1 AMA/PRA credit.
