Cardiology Fellowships

Over the past 20 years the training program at BCM has established itself as one of the leading training programs in the country. We have consistently sought to develop an academic program that strikes a complementary balance between scholarship and clinical excellence by providing trainees the opportunity to work alongside outstanding faculty who are actively engaged in molecular, translational and clinical research.
BCM cardiology fellows have the opportunity to rotate through multiple affiliated training hospitals, all centrally located in the Texas Medical Center, including Ben Taub General Hospital (Public), the Michael E. DeBakey Veteran Affairs Medical Center (Public), St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital/Texas Heart Institute (Private), and The Methodist Hospital. This rich clinical and scientific environment exposes our trainees to diverse patient populations and a broad spectrum of cardiovascular diseases in the worlds largest Medical Center.
Every year we accept five to seven trainees in General Cardiology, three trainees in Interventional Cardiology and one to two trainees in Electrophysiology. Applicants will be interviewed in February and March for General Cardiology and in the fall for Electrophysiology and Interventional Cardiology.
