Luminex FlexmiR Technology...now available!
The Microarray Core Facility now has the Luminex FlexmiR™ platform in place. FlexmiR™ MicroRNA Panels liquid suspension, bead-based assay enables researchers to test multiple miRNAs in a single well. The bead technology is used in conjunction with Exiqon's LNA (Locked Nucleic Acid) which enhances reaction specificity and stability. Luminex offers a human as well as a mouse/rat panel. Control kits are available as well. The 96-well plates can also be customized using FlexmiR™ Select. Human, mouse, and rat panels as well as custom panels will be available.
The platform's input amount has now been reduced to 2ug-3.5ug instead of the 10ug of total RNA required previously.
