Quality Control
The Microarray Core Facility makes every effort to ensure that the products and services we provide have been assessed with the most stringent quality control possible. We integrate QC steps in all standard operating procedures and utilize outside products in necessary.
All samples submitted to the MCF by the user must first go through a sample quality check, or SAQC in order to determine integrity, concentration, and overall quality of the sample. Please see our MAID information page to find out more about the process involved in a SAQC request.
Samples accepted for SAQC:
- RNA
- Total RNA, mRNA, aRNA or cRNA, labeled cRNA
- DNA
- Genomic DNA, single stranded cDNA, double stranded cDNA
Once samples pass the QC step, they are then available for selection for other services in the MCF using MAID to request:
- Affymetrix Service
- Expression GeneChips®
- SNP Mapping Arrays
- Promoter and Tiling Arrays
- Spotted Array Service
- cDNA/Oligo Spotted Arrays: Agilent and NimbleGen
- Array-CGH
- Agilent Custom Arrays
Other services available in the facility include:
*Users can also order cDNA clones from our clone repository. We are slowly compiling additional sequence verification of the clones.
