MAID User Login
The Microarray Core Facility is proud of our new online order and sample tracking system, MAID (MicroArray Information Database). MAID allows users to track the progress of samples, keep track of valuable information for each sample, access data files, and review billing information. This system allows users to log in and create requests for the MCF core services:
- SAQC - Sample Quality Check
- CDNA - Spotted Glass Array Services
- AFFY - Affymetrix GeneChip® Services
- CLON - Clone Repository Service
- DATA - Data Analysis Services
Registration and Login
If you are already registered as a MAID user, you may login.
If you have not registered as a MAID user, please have your Primary Investigator (PI) fill out the registration form (PDF) to get started. Once the PI of the lab is registered in MAID, he or she can begin adding users in his or her lab (Lab Members).
Attention MAC OS X Users: If you are using MAC OS X you can only access MAID using Netscape, available from the Apple website. We are working with our software developer to make MAID compatible with Firefox or Safari.
NOTE: If you have a Baylor user login but are not located in a BCM building, you may have to use remote access to login to MAID. All Baylor users can download and use the virtual private network software (internal access only; ECA required) to access Baylor's internal network.
NOTE: Sample Dropoff Requirements can be found on the sample dropoff page. Sample dropoff hours are Tuesdays from 1-3 pm and Thursdays from 1-3 pm. Samples must be in 1.5 ml tubes only. We will not accept 0.6 ml or 0.2 ml tubes.
Archives
Archived cDNA array data (old 'moby' server) is available. This archive contains data from cDNA arrays that were processed in this facility prior to October 2003. Affymetrix data that was processed before October 2003 is archived to CD or DVD and can be requested from the facility at microarray@bcm.edu for a fee.
