Math1 and mouse development
Math1 is a bHLH transcription factor expressed in proprioceptive system, including inner hair cell, gut epithelium, Merkel cells of the skin, joint, dorsal spinal cord and cerebellum. Proprioceptive signals are transduced through sensory neurons, interneuronal tracts and central nuclei. Our lab use genetics approach and are trying to understand the molecular role of Math1 in different cell types of proprioceptive pathway.
