About Us
The Thrombosis Core Lab was established in June 2000 for the purpose of conducting clinical transitional thrombosis and hemostasis research. It is affiliated with the Department of Medicine, Section of Thrombosis Research, Baylor College of Medicine.
We provide assays of platelet function, coagulation, and fibrinolysis including custom-designed assays for specific needs. Our scientists and technicians can also assist with study design and data management: (See our list of services).
The TCL can receive fresh blood samples, frozen plasma or buffy coat, or fixed blood samples shipped by overnight mail. Contact the TCL, 713-798-5950 for shipping instructions.
For local users, we have a dedicated room for phlebotomy with a comfortable reclining J7AB Medical Chair. Alternatively, our trained phlebotomist can come to your patient.
