Abstract

The purpose of this webcast is to provide an overview of the concept of demand-side employment and job placement for people with disabilities. Specifically, Dr. Chan will review recent research related to attitudes toward people with disabilities and people from racial and ethnic minority backgrounds, analysis of workplace discrimination based on EEOC data, and surveys of employers’ perspective on the employment of people with disabilities. He will discuss how this information can be used to formulate targeted strategies and policies for increasing employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
