hES Core lab areas

The Human Embryonic Stem Cell Core has been established to provide investigators with undifferentiated stem cells and provide intensive hands-on training in hES cell culture for Baylor College of Medicine and other Texas Medical Center investigators. The core maintains WA09 and WA01 cell lines originally from WiCell Institute. The core personnel have the expertise to teach and advise on methods for specific objectives.

Services

The cells and services are currently ONLY for Baylor investigators and collaborators.

Class

Classes are held bi-monthly and can accommodate three students per class. The three-day class consists of informal talks and lab sessions.

Cells and Quality control testing

The hES core provides a reliable and well characterized source of undifferentiated hES cells. In addition, the core provides quality control testing of cell lines.
