About the Neuromuscular Center
Physicians and healthcare professionals at the Baylor Medicine Neuromuscular Disorders Center focus on providing comprehensive care to those with neuromuscular disorders, including diagnosis, treatment, and education.
The Baylor Medicine Neuromuscular Disorders Center is an ALS Association Certified Treatment Center of Excellence and a designated MDA Care Center.
Conditions We Treat
Neuromuscular disorders can affect various parts of the peripheral nervous system, including nerves that control muscles, nerves that communicate sensory information back to the brain, the communication between motor neurons and muscles (neuromuscular junctions), and muscles themselves.

Diagnostics and Procedures
The Baylor Medicine Neuromuscular Disorders Center incorporates the latest advances in diagnosis. Diagnostic testing includes muscle biopsy, nerve biopsy, neuromuscular ultrasound, electromyography (EMG), and nerve conduction studies.
