Meeting participants have two options for housing: dormitory rooms or hotel rooms in the Campus Center Hotel.
Dormitory-style housing
The dormitory rooms are located on the UMass campus, about a 5-10 minute walk from the Conference Center. These rooms are not air-conditioned.
Reservations for dormitory-style housing must be made as part of the online registration process.
You may select single or double occupancy, and designate a roommate. You can also stay extra days before and following the meeting.
Campus Center Hotel
The Campus Center Hotel is located in the Conference Center (within the same building as the meeting). Eighty-five air-conditioned rooms in this hotel are reserved for meeting participants at special rates: $65.00 per room (single occupancy) or $75.00 per room (double occupancy), taxes included. You are encouraged to make room reservations early.
PLEASE NOTE: Room reservations for the Campus Center Hotel must be made directly with the hotel.
To reserve a hotel room, telephone directly to (413) 549-6000 extension 7714 and request a room from BLOCK 324 to obtain the discounted conference room rate. You may also contact the Campus Center Hotel online for reservations or further information.
Hotel reservations are held by credit card, and 24-hr notice of cancellation is required. Any rooms not reserved by July 15, 2001 will be released to the general public.
Parking on surface lots designated for meeting participants is free, provided you display a conference-parking permit (obtained at Registration). Meeting participants may also pay to park in the covered parking of the Campus Center Hotel. Discounted passes ($5 per day) will be available at Registration.
Guests staying in the dormitory are required to pay a $10.00 cash deposit for every key issued. This deposit will be refunded to you upon checkout and return of the key.
Registration received after July 13, 2001 will be assessed a $25.00 late fee. All cancellations must be received before July 24, 2001 to receive a refund less a $25 cancellation fee.
Cancellations received in the four days preceding the program will be charged the $25.00 cancellation fee plus any food service charges that are included in the conference package rate fee.
All cancellations must be in writing. Telephone cancellations will not be accepted unless immediately followed by a letter of cancellation, a FAX, or E-mail.
You may register onsite for this meeting, but will be subject to a $25.00 late fee. University housing cannot be guaranteed for those who register onsite at the beginning of the meeting.
