GME Residents Council

The GME Residents Council was established in 2007 to increase representation of Baylor House Staff on the Graduate Medical Education Committee. Six representatives, serving 2 year positions, attend all GME Committee meetings and sit on selected sub committees. Three new representatives are elected each year. GME House Staff members have full voting rights and are able to express concerns about issues addressed at these meetings. Currently represented on the council are Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Neurosurgery, Family Practice, Adult and Pediatric Cardiology.

GME Residents Council Meetings are open to all house staff. We meet the first Tuesday of every month at 5 p.m. in the GME conference room located in the basement of the Jewish Building.

Please send an e-mail to ccoleby@bcm.edu if you wish to submit an issue for discussion.
