Vector Production Facility
The Vector Production Facility contains five Class 10,000 manufacturing suites located between clean and dirty corridors. It has produced more than 25 clinical grade vector preparations for in vivo and ex vivo use. In addition, the staff have experience in the preparation and purification of plasmids and monoclonal antibodies.
The facility is a National Gene Vector Laboratory for the manufacture of adenoviral vectors and has, in addition, manufactured the following:
- Master Cell Banks
- Working Cell Banks
- Master and Working Virus / Cell Banks
- Adenoviral Vectors
- Retroviral Vectors
- Herpes Vectors
Manufacturing is performed following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) under the auspices of the CAGT Quality Assurance Group.
Products have been manufactured for:
- CAGT clinical protocols at the Methodist and Texas Children's hospitals in Houston
- Clinical investigators in the United States, Singapore, Australia, Europe and Japan
- Biotechnology companies
