The GEM Core will cryopreserve embryos for investigators
to allow safe storage of their valuable mouse lines. The
investigator will provide the core with oviducts from
female mice given a superovulatory regimen of gonadotropins
and mated with donor males. The core cryopreserves mouse
embryos at the one cell stage and houses the embryos in
liquid nitrogen storage until the investigator requests
their recovery or shipment to other institutions.
