The GEM Core will inject ES cells into the blastocoel of embryonic
Day 3.5 mouse embryos for investigators. The investigator
prepares the ES cells and provides the Core with the ES cells the morning of injection.
The core injects the ES cells into 18 to 20 blastocysts per ES cell clone.
The core can inject 3 to 6 ES cell clones per day. The core will provide the
investigator with the pregnant moms for chimerical analysis or weaned chimeras
for the establishment of mutant mouse lines.
