33 year old man with azospermia and abnormal liver function
tests.
History of the Present Illness:
The patient was scheduled by the urologists for testicular
biopsy to evaluate azospermia. In the pre-operative area the urologists and
anesthesiologists discovered the patient had abnormal liver chemistries. Gastroenterology
was consulted. The patient had jaundice 10 years ago. It lasted a few weeks.
He says he had a full evaluation, including a normal liver biopsy. The jaundice
recurred twice in 6 years. He was seen by multiple physicians. Each time his
liver tests normalized. He has had no jaundice for 3 years. There is no history
of blood transfusion, tattoo, drug abuse or needle stick. He denied any current
or chronic symptoms. He has had no nausea, vomiting, fever, chills, edema,
gynecomastia, ascites, melena, hematochezia, hair loss, fatique, weight loss,
itching.

Personal and Social History:
No excessive alcohol or tobacco use; no substance abuse; no
travel; stable family and finances
