The main lessons to take home concerning this case
are:
1. Complete regression in low grade MALT lymphoma is
possible with H. pylori eradication if EUS staging shows stage IE1
and tests for H. pylori infection are positive.
2. H. pylori eradication should be attempted in
all forms of MALT-lymphoma, but advanced stages and H. pylori negative
cases should receive tradition cancer treatments.
3. High grade lymphoma seen on gastric biopsies also
mandates chemotherapy or surgery.
