Services Available in the FGP Core
  1. Cell line and plasmid construct repository
  2. Electrophoretic mobility shift assays
  3. Miscellaneous recombinant DNA and molecular biology techniques
  4. In situ hybridization probe preparation
  5. Isolation and quality assessment of RNA
  6. Strategic design of gene expression profiling experiments
  7. Preparation of probes for microarray
  8. Bioinformatics analysis of microarray data
  9. Real time quantitative PCR  (rtQPCR) validation of microarray data
  10. Recombinant protein production
  11. Luminex liquid bead arrays/protein microarrays
  12. RNAi library and chemical compound high throughput screening

 

Services A through E will be carried out in the FGP Core by FGP Core staff.  Services E through I will be done within the FGP Core in conjunction with the Genomic Profiling Resource Facility.  Services J through L will be carried out in the Proteomics Core and the Luminex arrays/protein microarrays services will be performed in Dr. Versalovic’s laboratory.  RNAi library screening will be offered by the Gulf Coast Consortium on a fee for service basis.
