Scholarships and Loans
Scholarships
Baylor College of Medicine scholarships that recognize academic achievement and other non-financial need criteria are typically awarded during the admissions process. Students are notified by the appropriate office once eligibility is determined.
Information referencing outside scholarships is available for students to review in the Office of Student Financial Aid. You will also find scholarship information in the reference section of your local library.
Financial Need-Based Scholarships
These scholarships are "gift aid" and are not repaid. Baylor College of Medicine awards them to medical students on a first-come, first-served basis. Students must demonstrate financial need and provide parental data to be considered for these funds. Please note: Merit-based scholarship eligibility is not determined through the Office of Student Financial Planning.
Loans
Lending agencies make loan funds available to students with interest rates as low as five percent. Remember, borrowed funds must be paid back, and the amount you borrow will impact your future life-style. Borrow only what you need!
