About Us

Family and Community is the third largest department within Baylor College of Medicine. Our faculty and staff are our greatest resource and they are the people who have created our nationally recognized programs in education, international health, research, community health, and patient care.

Our mission is to enhance the health of the population and advance the discipline of primary care by providing excellent and innovative teaching of primary health care to learners; by delivering high quality, family- and community-oriented primary health care; and by discovering new knowledge which will contribute to the improvement of processes and outcomes of the care which we render.
