July 2-, 2007 - Mentoring as Teaching (2.0 hours). This workshop will prepare the participant to become a better mentor to trainees and students. (See flyer for more details.)

August 17, 2007 - Introduction to Teaching 101 (3.0 hours). This fast-paced three-hour interactive workshop provides participants with an overview of general teaching concepts covering large group teaching skills, small group teaching skills, one-on-one clinical precepting, and evaluation and feedback of learners.

August 20, 2007 - Your Career as a Medical Educator (2.0 hours). The goal of this workshop is to assist faculty in their preparation for an academic career with a potential emphasis on education. We will discuss skills, considerations, negotiations and opportunities at Baylor College of Medicine, The University of Texas Medical School, and the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston.

Registration Policies:

1. Registration is required for all events except for Journal Club and Medical Education Seminar Series (M.E.S.S.)
2. Register for offerings by contacting Bridget Angel at 713-798-7734 or bat@bcm.edu.
3. Priority is given to faculty from Baylor College of Medicine, The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, and the University of Texas Dental Branch on a first come, first served basis.
4. All others (e.g., staff, residents, fellows, post-docs, students) are put on a wait list.
5. Registration is limited. Priority will be granted to affiliated registrants on the wait list in the order received. Non-affiliated registrants will be notified if space is available
