Peer Consultation Process

The Peer Consultation process involves the following steps:

  1. Photo of peer and counsultant meeting.Identify an area for peer consultation
    Consultants are available in the following areas:

    - Large Group Teaching
    - Small Group Teaching
    - One-on-One Teaching
    - Learner Assessment
    - Course Leadership
    - Communication of Educational Scholarly Work
  2. Select a consultant
    Contact the Consultation Pool at the following e-mail fac-ed@bcm.edu. You will be assisted in the clarification of your request and matched with an appropriate consultant. If a high level of confidentiality is desired, you may review the Consultant Pool Listing to contact a specific consultant directly.
  3. Schedule a conference with the consultant
    Meet with the consultant to negotiate the purpose, scope, scheduling, and product of the consultation. The discussions and any product of the consultation are confidential. You may disengage from the consultation process at any time without explanation.
  4. Complete a survey
    Feedback from faculty using the ECP is an essential part of the quality improvement process. You will be asked to complete a brief, anonymous survey on the quality and utility of the consultation. The completed survey will be sent to the directors of the ECP.
