Educator Consultation Program

Photo of a doctor review. The Educator Consultation Program is designed to provide a high quality peer consultation resource for faculty desiring a review of educational activities, methods, and their effectiveness. This program has been developed within Baylor, by our own teaching faculty, as a grass roots effort to promote peer coachring and support in education. The ECP is directed by a management team consisting of Andrew Wilking, M.D., Stephen Pierrel, Ph.D., and Anne Gill, MS, RN.

In clinical and research activities at Baylor, mechanisms to receive input on skills, methods, and products of professional practice have been in place for many years. And now, by faculty request, the ECP was established to be a resource for faculty who seek input on educational activities.

Educators may request a confidential consult in a variety of areas including: large group teaching, small group teaching, one-on-one teaching, learner assessment, course leadership, and communication of educational scholarly work. The goal of the ECP is to provide a resource designed to help faculty derive a high level of satisfaction from educational activities and to increase their effectiveness and productivity.
