The Department of Ophthalmology is committed to eliminating blinding eye diseases including macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataract, corneal scarring, and optic nerve disease. This is an ambitious goal, and it requires our commitment in other areas as well. It means conducting research in the structure, function, and diseases of the eye and the visual system. It means teaching and training ophthalmology residents and fellows, medical and graduate students, research scientists, and practicing ophthalmologists. It means providing the highest quality eye care available. It means sponsoring public programs for the prevention of eye disease and injury.
All of these endeavors require financial support. Private philanthropy - through gifts of all sizes - is critical to our success in each of these areas. We hope you will join our efforts to eliminate blinding eye diseases by making a contribution to Baylor College of Medicine's Department of Ophthalmology. Your gift can make a difference.
Tax-deductible contributions may take one of several forms: cash (check/credit card), publicly traded stock, real estate, or life insurance. You may also make a planned gift through a will bequest, gift annuity, charitable unitrust, charitable lead trust or retirement plan. If you would like to make a gift to the Department of Ophthalmology at Baylor College of Medicine or need more information about ways of giving, please contact us or see the Office of Development's website .
