Ophthalmology
The Department of Ophthalmology and the Cullen Eye Institute are dedicated to being one of the nation's pre-eminent facilities when it comes to education, research, clinical care, and public service. We provide educational programs for ophthalmology residents and fellows, medical and graduate students, research scientists, and practicing ophthalmologists; support research in the structure, function, and diseases of the eye and the visual system; offer the highest quality eye care available; and sponsor public programs for prevention of eye disease and injury.

Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Robert Coffee joined BCM in September 2011 as an assistant professor in the Alkek Eye Center. Clinically, his focus is on diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous. His research focus is in macular degeneration, uveitis and diabetic retinopathy. See all of our doctors.
