M.D./M.P.H. Dual Degree Program
Do you have a strong interest in public health issues? BCM has partnered with the University of Texas School of Public Health to jointly sponsor a five-year M.D./M.P.H. degree program.

Students accepted into the program spend their first three years at BCM. In addition to medical school classes, students will take several online public health classes. The fourth year is spent taking classes at UTSPH. The fifth year, it's back to BCM for the last year of medical school.
Congratulations to the Graduates!
We would like to congratulate Kasia Kimmel and Junaid Niazi, the first graduates of the MD/MPH dual degree program. Their interest in medicine and helping other people drew them to this exciting opportunity. To find out more about the graduates, please see the articles in The BCM Family Newslink and The UTSPH News.

Program Application
Application to UTSPH can be submitted simultaneously with the medical school application or at the time of interview or acceptance to BCM. Each application will be considered separately and acceptance to one school will not effect acceptance to the other. Students are encouraged to apply for entry to UTSPH after acceptance but before enroling at BCM so as to optimise the ability to partake in public health projects and on-line classes. At latest, application for the program must be received by UTSPH by the end of the first year of medical school.
