Draft Policy Recommendations Self-directed Interactive Review
Welcome to the EDICT draft policy recommendation self-directed interactive review.
EDICT (Eliminating Disparities in Clinical Trials) is a project sponsored by the Baylor College of Medicine’s Chronic Disease Prevention & Control Research Center and the Intercultural Cancer Council and funded by an unrestricted educational grant from Genentech. Comprised of more than 300 representative stakeholders from the private, public and non-profit sectors, the EDICT Team examined current health policy, identified barriers to inclusion of underrepresented populations (e.g. women, older Americans, adolescents, racial-ethnic minorities, those who live in rural areas) in clinical trials, and created a series of recommendations for policy change to remove those barriers to participation.
Reflecting the EDICT policy development process, these draft recommendations take a systematic approach to the problem of clinical trials disparities across the full range of stakeholders. We are requesting your feedback to help us move to the dissemination phase of the project.
Thank you in advance for your thoughtful contribution to this effort.
