Genetically-engineered mouse models
Advanced technologies are used at the Darwin Transgenic Mouse Core Facility to generate mutant (genetically engineered) mice needed by researchers across the United States who are in pursuit of answers and cures for human disease.
Core service areas include:
- Embryonic Stem Cell Culture Services – electroporation, Murine Virus testing and clone expansion
- Microinjection Services – mouse ES cells into blastocysts and DNA into pronucleus of fertilized eggs
- Strain Re-derivation Service
Projects are scheduled on a first-come-first serve basis after approval from the director. Read core guidelines and use the online forms to get started.
