Initiative for Maximizing Student Diversity

The Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine is committed to educating scientists from all segments of the U.S. population. Our impact on educating and training scientists from populations that have been traditionally under-represented in the sciences has been greatly facilitated by grants from the National Institutes of Health. Three $2 million MBRS grants (GM56929), one awarded for 1998-2002, one for 2002-2006 and one from 2006-2010 from National Institute for General Medical Sciences provide resources that help optimize Ph.D. student success.
