Enrichment Programs
The BCM DERC enrichment programs cover:
- Basic and clinical diabetes and endocrinology research through workshops and lectures
- T32 and other training programs
These programs are targeted for expansion to further enhance interactions among investigators and training of junior scientists, and to entice non-diabetes research laboratories to enter diabetes research. The DERC can share these activities with individual programs to ensure optimal synergism with ongoing and future academic programs that are relevant to diabetes and endocrinology.
Morey Haymond, M.D., DERC co-director, associate director of Clinical Research and DERC liaison, has primary responsibility for this area of DERC activity.
