The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of international health topics for the first year medical student. The course is configured as the introductory course of the four-year International Health Track for Baylor Medical students wishing to focus on global
health issues. |
| Learning Activities |
| Given the increased globalization of the world's population and the multinational make-up of Houston and other major American cities, Baylor students and faculty feel that knowledge of international health problems and awareness of cross-cultural issues are of extreme importance in modern medical practice. Overview of International Health will be conducted as a twice weekly lunchtime lecture series to be held the first six weeks of Block 5. While created for first year students, upper class students may enroll or attend if space is available. |
| Evaluation Methods |
| 80% attendance is required to Pass
