Associate Director, Brain Injury Research Center, The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research, Houston, Texas, 1995-present. Principal investigator on projects of the NIDRR Research and Training Center on Rehabilitation Interventions in Traumatic Brain Injury.

Assistant Professor, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas, 1991-present. Program development specialist on vocational research project of the NIDRR Research and Training Center in Community Integration for Individuals with Spinal Cord Injury and co-investigator on the NIH study of the sexuality of women with disabilities conducted by the Center for Research on Women with Disabilities.

Vocational Liaison, Southwest Regional Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Prevention Center, The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research, Houston, Texas, 1991-1995. Responsible for consultation and program development in the delivery of vocational rehabilitation services to persons with traumatic brain injury, through a regional grant funded by the U. S. Supervised practica in the Center for Educational Programs, a counseling program for adults, adolescents, and children. Supervised graduate internships.

Assistant Professor, Department of Rehabilitation Counseling, University of Florida, Gainesville, 1984 - 1987. Responsible for developing and coordinating an interdisciplinary program of clinical services through the Vocational Consultation Service in the University of Florida Health Science Center, for teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in rehabilitation counseling, for supervising practicum and internship students, and for advising graduate and undergraduate students. Graduate Assistant, University of Georgia, 1980 - 1983. Conducted research in rehabilitation, taught graduate students, and supervised practicum students. Edited and prepared manuscripts submitted for publication to the Journal of Rehabilitation. Provided consultation in the development of a career counseling program for inmates at the Women's Unit of the Middle Georgia Correctional Institution, Milledgeville, Georgia.

Rehabilitation Director, Chattanooga Goodwill Industries, Chattanooga, Tennessee, 1978 - 1980. Managed the rehabilitation program, including vocational evaluation, work adjustment, job readiness training, and placement services. Responsibilities included staff supervision, grant writing and implementation, program development, and program evaluation.

Director of Vocational Evaluation, Chattanooga Goodwill Industries, 1977 - 1978. Provided direct service to clients, including counseling and vocational guidance. Supervised vocational evaluation program using a wide variety of vocational tests, work samples, and occupational information resources. Expanded services to include private rehabilitation providers and insurance companies.

Training Instructor, Gateway Hope Center, Jacksonville, Florida, 1974 - 1976. Developed a clerical training program for blind and visually handicapped persons, including evaluation, work adjustment, skill development, work experience, and placement services.
