How can I teach my children to make healthy snack machine choices?
It is hard for children to avoid vending machines. Drink
and snack machines are everywhere. Instead of banning your
kids from these popular attractions, teach your child to make wise,
healthy selections.
Fresh fruit, animal crackers, low-fat crackers, raisins and mixed
dried fruit, granola bars made with unsaturated fat, snack mixes
of cereal and dried fruit with a small amount of nuts and seeds
are good low-fat choices.
