Annual Research Conference
Every fall, students and faculty gather for two days of presentations by students--both talks and posters--at a resort near Houston. The scientific program is organized completely by CMB students. Students invite and host an outside speaker who presents two talks, one describing his or her career path toward becoming a successful scientist and the other a formal research seminar.
Recent past speakers include Drs. Marc Vidal, Brian Matthews, Richard Weindruch, De Witt Sumners, Jujjie Chen, and Yousif Shamoo, . The retreat is the time when students and faculty gather off campus to socialize, present their work, and share ideas.
