Curriculum

Key Points:

  • All required course work can be completed during your first year
  • All students are required to complete 30 didactic course hours
  • Although there are nine required courses, the rest of the curriculum is very flexible
  • Students must take a minimum of one course from each of the six categories of Flexible Required Courses
  • There are a wide variety of elective courses to choose from in addition to the courses listed below
  • You can take up to five rotations during your first year, before choosing a thesis laboratory (a miniumum of three rotations are required)
  • Aging Track students are required to take the Biology of Aging Course
  • Cancer Track students are required to take Introduction to Molecular Carcinogenesis
