Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Research Medication Study

We are looking for participants between the ages of 19-65 who have served in conflict zones at least one time between 1990-2008, such as Operation Enduring Freedom /Operation Iraqi Freedom (OEF/OIF), Afghanistan, and Gulf War. We are also enrolling participants who are Active Duty, National Guard, Reservists, Veterans, and/or Retired Military.
Researchers at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) are currently testing a medication called Nepicastat in a 6-week study for military personnel diagnosed with PTSD. The purpose of this 6-week medication study is to see if a new drug called Nepicastat will treat symptoms related to PTSD compared to placebo (sugar pill). Participants in this research study will receive monetary compensation for travel to the MEDVAMC.
