Account Setup/Ordering/Payment
For lentivirus, make a note for lentivirus in the "Order/Quote Notes" text box that will appear at checkout.
For RUSH Service, please type "RUSH" into the "Order/Quote Notes" text box that will appear at checkout. RUSH orders must be received by 2 p.m. for next day delivery.
Create a New Account that will be linked to BCM.
Link an Existing Account from Open Biosystems to BCM.
After you have obtained a customer ID and password you are ready to begin ordering.
Go to the Open Biosystems web page to place your order for individual shRNA clones. These products will be provided by the C-BASS core facility and tagged as "licensed" with respect to their price on your order page, with no additional shipping charges. Once you have placed the order, C-BASS will process the order and you may pick up the clones from the core after you receive your Order Completion e-mail. Orders are filled once a week and those received by 5 p.m. on Tuesday will be ready by Thursday. RUSH Service now available for an additional $15/clone. Please see below for payment information.
You may also order additional products (such as cDNA clones) through the Open Biosystems web page along with the shRNA clones. However, only the shRNA clones will be handled through the C-BASS core, and these products will be tagged as "licensed" with no additional shipping charges, whereas the other products will have their prices listed. In this case, upon finalizing your order, there will be a monetary total (i.e. shipping or product costs), indicating that the order has been split with non-shRNA clones being processed directly by Open Biosystems and NOT the BCM C-BASS Core.
Things to Remember About the Open Biosystems web page:
- You need a customer ID and password for log-in.
- NO credit card or PO numbers. Please provide all 10 digits of your CC or WBS, PI name, and the name of your departmental approver in the "Order/Quote Notes" text box that will appear at checkout.
- Use the navigation tools provided within the web page for best results.
- All products provided by the C-BASS Core facility are tagged as "licensed" with respect to their price. Upon finalizing your order, if there is any monetary total (i.e. shipping cost or product cost) then you are placing an order directly from Open Biosystems and NOT the Core.
Payment
No credit card or PO numbers. Please provide all 10 digits of your CC or WBS, the name of your lab, and the name of your departmental approver in the "Order/Quote Notes" text box that will appear at checkout.
