The purpose of this Shared Resource is to provide BCM Cancer Center investigators with state of the art instrumentation and specialized expertise for comprehensive large-scale analysis of proteins, or proteomics. This is a potentially important tool for furthering our understanding of the molecular and cellular biology of cancer, and to identify biochemical markers for diagnosis and as novel therapeutic targets. The shared resource integrates five different facilities each with separate directors and services.
