StudentThe development of future thought leaders in biomedical research on inflammation and in the care of patients with inflammatory disorders is a major goal of the Center. The Center's education core supports the training of medical students, graduate students, physicians and scientists. Support for training programs includes grants from the National Institutes of Health, foundations, industry and endowments.

The Center's educational activities also include dissemination of biomedical research findings and advances in patient care through publications and conferences to both professional colleagues and the public. The quarterly health forums provide a special opportunity for the Houston community to meet with the Center's faculty for discussion of recent advances on the causes and treatments for inflammatory disorders.
