The division of Plastic Surgery is part of the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, renowned for state-of-the-art surgical techniques performed by highly trained, specialized surgeons.
We offer a single resource for the full spectrum of cosmetic and reconstructive needs, including pediatric reconstructive procedures, with plastic surgeons specializing in each area. We offer pediatric services through Texas Children's Hospital. All other reconstructive, cosmetic and nonsurgical procedures are available through the Center for Aesthetic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine.

Our Physicians
Back to TopSamuel Stal, MD, FACS, is professor and chief of surgery for the division of Plastic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. He specializes in and limits his practice to surgery of the nose (rhinoplasty) and pediatric plastic surgery, specifically unique cleft lip/nose and palate procedures to help children with facial and birth defects. Dr. Stal is board certified in both plastic surgery and otolaryngology. After earning his medical degree from Loyola University School of Medicine, Dr. Stal completed residencies in general surgery and otolaryngology at the University of Illinois, followed by a plastic surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine. He obtained additional training in craniofacial surgery at Enfant Malade Hospital and Clinique Belvedere in Paris. Dr. Stal is a founding member and former president of the Rhinoplasty Society, an elite group of surgeons specializing in rhinoplasty.
Jamal M. Bullocks, MD, is an assistant professor in the division of Plastic Surgery. He specializes in aesthetic breast and body contouring, aesthetic facial rejuvenation, reconstructive breast surgery and reconstructive facial procedures. Dr. Bullocks has special interest in plastic surgery for ethnic groups, working with patients with different skin textures, pigmentation and facial features to improve their appearance while retaining their unique characteristics. After completing his undergraduate studies at Georgetown University with honors, Dr. Bullocks earned his medical degree from the Georgetown University School of Medicine, graduating Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) cum laude. He completed his internship in general surgery and his residency in plastic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine.
Lior Heller, MD, assistant professor in the division of Plastic Surgery, specializes in body contouring, reconstructive surgery after oncologic resection, and aesthetic surgery and nonsurgical rejuvenation of the face. Dr. Heller is a graduate of the Hebrew University Medical School in Jerusalem, Israel. After completing residencies in both general surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery in Israel, he earned his board certification in general surgery from the Israeli Society of General Surgery and board certification in plastic and reconstructive surgery from the Israeli Society of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Heller also completed a two-year fellowship in reconstructive plastic surgery at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC, and a one-year fellowship in minimally invasive and endoscopic aesthetic surgery of the face with Dr. Oscar Ramirez in Baltimore, MD. He dedicated another year of training to microsurgical oncologic reconstruction at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Larry H. Hollier Jr., MD, FACS, is associate professor in the division of Plastic Surgery and program director for the plastic surgery residency program at Baylor College of Medicine. He also serves as chief of Plastic Surgery at Ben Taub General Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center for the city of Houston. A board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Hollier specializes in pediatric hand surgery, facial fractures, cranial vault remodeling, midfacial distraction and mandibular distraction. He earned his medical degree from Tulane University. He completed general surgery and plastic surgery residencies at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where he remained for fellowships in hand and microvascular surgery. He also completed a fellowship in craniofacial surgery at New York University Medical Center.
Mimi Leong, MD, MS, is a board-certified surgeon and assistant professor in the division of Plastic Surgery. She specializes in plastic surgery with specific interests in aging and wound healing. Dr. Leong earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania (MCP). She completed her general surgery residency training at MCP and the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, followed by a plastic surgery residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Dr. Leong completed her general surgery research fellowship at MCP. She also participated as a postdoctoral research fellow in the Wound Healing Laboratory at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), Galveston, in the division of plastic and reconstructive surgery. Most recently, she earned a Master of Medical Sciences degree from UTMB-Galveston.
Eser Yuksel, MD, associate professor in the division of Plastic Surgery, specializes in aesthetic surgery of the face and breast, reconstructive and microsurgery, body contouring, and facial contouring and rejuvenation procedures. He is recognized for designing an innovative breast surgery known as dermal suspension and for his use of a lip-enhancement technique known as lip suspension. Dr. Yuksel graduated from Hacettepe University Medical School in Ankara, Turkey, completing his residency there in plastic and reconstructive surgery. He completed fellowship training in plastic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine and a fellowship in cosmetic and maxillofacial surgery at the Onep-Plastic Surgery Science Institute in Istanbul. Dr. Yuksel is a member of the European Association of Plastic Surgery. He is board certified by the Higher Education Council in Turkey, where he is an associate professor in Plastic Surgery.
Kristina Marsack, MS, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant (P.A.-C.) and assistant professor in the division of plastic surgery, Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. She specializes in non-surgical cosmetic procedures, including Botox®, laser hair removal, microdermabrasion and soft tissue fillers. She also evaluates and counsels patients on anti-aging skincare treatments, including the Obagi® System. In addition to her work with the Center for Aesthetic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, Kris serves as a reconstructive plastic surgery Physician Assistant for the chief of plastic surgery at Ben Taub General Hospital. She completed a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Baylor College of Medicine, a master’s in biology from Purdue University, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame. Kris serves as treasurer for the Association of Plastic Surgery Physician Assistants (APSPA), and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants (TAPA), the American Association of Surgical Physician Assistants (AASPA), and the Texas Gulf Coast Physician Assistant Association.
