Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism

The division of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism, a section of the Margaret M. and Albert B. Alkek Department of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, offers expert consultation and patient care for the full range of endocrine and metabolic disorders. We are also one of the nation's leading centers for endocrine research.

We offer state-of-the-art treatment, specialized services and experienced, highly trained physicians that rank among the best in their field. Adult patient care is provided through Baylor Clinic. Our endocrinologists also treat patients at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, Ben Taub General Hospital and the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

In addition to their clinical care activities, our physicians also serve as educators and researchers, enabling them to rapidly translate the latest knowledge and scientific advancements into better patient care and treatment. We offer patients an opportunity to participate in numerous ongoing clinical research projects, including studies in the areas of diabetes, obesity, bone disease, male reproductive disorders and hormonal replacement, thyroid cancer and HIV-related metabolic diseases.
