Residency
The Department of Anesthesiology residency program conforms to the requirements of the American Board of Anesthesiology. Medical student applicants are accepted through the National Residency Matching Program both at the Clinical Base Year and at the first year of the Clinical Anesthesia continuum. All applications and required documentation must be submitted via the Electronic Residency Application Service, which is a part of the Association of American Medical Colleges.
Positions in the three-year continuum of anesthesia training maybe available outside the match to applicants with a medical degree and one year of postgraduate training. Each resident has the opportunity for a rich educational and clinical experience. The reputation of Baylor faculty members attracts patients, graduate students, fellows, and academicians from across the United States and throughout the world.
