A unique feature at Baylor is the opportunity to train in a charity hospital, a veteran's hospital, a children's hospital, private hospitals, and community clinics.

Anesthesiology, as with many other medical subspecialties, faces the challenge of providing the best training experience for its residents. The faculty of the Baylor department of Anesthesiology faces this challenge by:

• Continuously evaluating and improving our training programs,
• Expanding opportunities for residents and fellows, and
• Attracting and retaining the best-trained educators, clinical practitioners, and researchers.

Through these efforts we are working to maintain and strengthen our leadership position in the profession.
