Welcome to the Department of Anesthesiology's web site, the introduction to our graduate and postgraduate medical education programs. This site provides an overview of the training programs sponsored by the Department. It outlines the broad resources and opportunities available to our residents and fellows at Baylor College of Medicine.
Anesthesiology, along with many other medical disciplines, must confront and respond to major changes in our professional practices. We face these challenges by continuously evaluating and improving our training programs, by expanding opportunities for residents and fellows, and by attracting and retaining the best trained educators, clinical practitioners, and researchers. Through these efforts we both maintain and strengthen our leadership position in the profession.
